[origin: EP0690184A2] Base for plaster for e.g. external walls of a building consists of a basic body (8) with spaced projections (12) facing the wall, at least some of which are adhesively bonded to the wall, and being pivotable w.r.t. the body. Gaps (13, 15) formed in their end regions between the projections have a width less than 4 mm, pref. about 1 mm. The projections move about hinges formed by constrictions (22) in the middle or lower region of the projections. Recesses (18) between adjacent projections have circular or triangular cross sections and are filled with thermally insulating material similar to that of the body, pref. polystyrene, polyurethane etc. <IMAGE>
