[origin: EP0690463A1] A child-proof switching unit is in the form of a blocking sleeve (19) that fits on to the switch actuator spindle (13). The sleeve has a blocked (V) and free position (E). Formed at the end of the sleeve is a main section (20) that engages the movable contact (6) of the switch. Once in position any movement of the actuator to operate the switch is blocked. <IMAGE>
