Abstract (en)
A high power electrical safety fuse has a housing (12) of non-conducting material. The housing has a bore (7) with a sealing plug (13) into which is set a pyrotechnical charge (2). When the charge is activated gas pressure is generated (6) and this displaces a contact bolt (5). The bolt moves to break the electrical connection between a pair of power rails (4a, 4b). <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung betrifft ein pyrotechnisches Hochstromsicherungselement (1), bei dem eine sich in dem zu sichernden Stromkreis befindende Stromleitbahn infolge der Zündung einer pyrotechnischen Ladung unterbrochen wird, wenn die Stromstärke im Stromkreis einen Schwellenwert übersteigt. Um eine universelle Einsatzmöglichkeit zu erreichen wird vorgeschlagen, daß das Hochstromsicherungselement (1) aus einem in den zu sichernden Stromkreis einbaubaren separaten Bauteil besteht, an das die durchtrennten Stromleiter (3,3') angeschlossen werden. <IMAGE>
