Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0691706A1] The connector includes an insulated box (1) contains a sprung metal connector (2) which is shaped to strip a conductor and then grip its core. The box has a detachable base (5) and a cable entry which is circular at the top (7) and shaped as a parallel sided slot (8) at the bottom. The cable is entered through the circular orifice (7) and then pressed downwards using an auxiliary tool (9) which slides in a channel (19) and has a handle (11). The cable end is stripped and then gripped by the sprung metal connector (2) and the cable insulation is clamped by the slot (8). <IMAGE>
