The hanger has a span-fixture (15,16), in the form of a toothed bar which is positioned in a housing (1) and which can be connected to and disconnected from the cogwheel (14). When connected, the span-fixture withstands the resistance of the cogwheel rotation. The cogwheel is mounted axially movable between two positions. In one position the cogwheel connects only the two support arms (2,3) and in the other position, it connects the two support arms and also the span-fixture. A suspension hook (4) has a top curved part, and bottom straight shaft (11) on which the cogwheel freely rotates. A spring (16) exerts pressure on the toothed bar. <IMAGE>

Es wird ein Kleiderbügel vestellbarer Spannweite beschrieben, der zwei Tragarme (2, 3) und einen Aufhängehaken (4) aufweist. Die Tragarme (2, 3) sind in einem Gehäuse (1) verschiebbar gelagert und weisen eine Zahnung (12, 13) auf. Durch ein Zahnrad (14) sind die beiden Tragarme (2, 3) miteinander gekoppelt. Zur Fixierung der Spannweite ist in dem Gehäuse (1) ferner eine Spannweitenfixiereinrichtung (15, 16) angeordnet, die mit dem Zahnrad (14) einkuppelbar und auskuppelbar ist und im eingekuppelten Zustand der Drehung des Zahnrads (14) einen Widerstand entgegensetzt. Die Spannweitenfixiereinrichtung kann eine Zahnstange (15) sein. Die Zahnstange (15) kann verschiebbar gelagert und durch eine Feder (16) beaufschlagt sein, so daß sie der Drehung des Zahnrads (14) im Sinne einer Verkürzung der Spannweite des Kleiderbügels einen federnden Widerstand entgegensetzt. <IMAGE>
