Abstract (en)
A casing rigidly connected to the ski has an opening (40) for the passage of the free end of an elongated flexing force transmitter. An internal housing (41) provides a clearance for this free end during translation in the longitudinal direction in normal use conditions, without abutting against the casing. Shock absorbing plates inside the housing consist of L-shaped rigid supports (50,60) and a layer of visco-elastic material (51,61). When in the locked position these plates exert a braking force on the displacement of the free end during ski flexure. Indexing (7) allows selection of a number of plates to be locked in translation in the housing. The visco-elastic layer shears during displacement of the free end in the housing. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'amortissement comprenant au moins un élément allongé de transmission des efforts de flexion (3), orienté longitudinalement par rapport au ski et ayant une extrémité libre (31) apte à se déplacer longitudinalement lors des sollicitations en flexion. Le dispositif comprend également : un boîtier (4) lié rigidement au ski, muni d'une ouverture (40) pour le passage de l'extrémité libre (31) de l'élément allongé (3) et un logement interne (41) permettant le libre débattement de ladite extrémité libre (31) en translation ; au moins une plaquette d'amortissement (5, 6) guidée en translation dans ledit logement, comprenant au moins une couche en matériau souple et/ou viscoélastique (51, 61) en contact direct avec l'extrémité libre (31) ; un moyen d'indexage (7) permettant de sélectionner le nombre de plaquettes (5, 6) en position verrouillée en translation dans ledit logement (4), et dont la couche en matériau souple et/ou viscoélastique (51, 61) est sollicitée en cisaillement lors du déplacement de l'extrémité libre (31) dans le logement (41). <IMAGE>
