[origin: EP0692309A1] The method involves the grinding material being accelerated by the blades (7) of a first rotor (6) and pulverized against the blades (9) of an oppositely rotating rotor (8). The pulverized material strikes at a low angle a filter (5) in the path of movement of the rotor (6) and is separated into fractions. The remaining coarse fractions are passed on in the direction of movement and subjected to renewed acceleration, impact and filtering. The first and third grinding stages take place in separate work areas (12,13) of the chamber (4). Acceleration and impact alternate cyclically in two intermediate zones which are connected together by streams of insufficiently pulverised material. <IMAGE>
