Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0692380A2] The device feeds ink from a metering mechanism (13) to an inking vessel with roller. The mechanism is connected to a filling-level detector and distributes the ink over the length of the vessel. A counter (11) preset to match the number of items to be printed, is connected to the metering mechanism, to which it emits a signal shutting off the ink supply before printing of the batch is complete or an ink change is to take place. The counter can be operated by a timer, and is mounted near a stacking mechanism. <IMAGE>
