Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0692570A1] The tongue rail lifter (1) has a bearing plate (2) for a stock-rail (3) and a swivel mounted tongue rail lifting frame (5) supporting a tongue rail (6). The lifting frame has a spring (8) compressed by load from the tongue rail with level adjustment bolts which set the level of the lifting frame. A height limiting device works with the spring so that when the tongue rail is in its highest position some residual compression remains in the spring. When the tongue rail is loaded the spring acts immediately smoothly to limit the downward movement of the tongue rail. <IMAGE>
