[origin: EP0692583A2] The collecting tank comprises a height-adjustable cover device (13) which is fastened to one of the end walls (11) of the collecting tank (14). The device seals and/or covers an adjustable part of an aperture in the end wall. It defines the intake aperture (12) in such a way, that its position in the end wall may be changed dependant upon the depth of the drainage channel base. The cover device has fasteners (17,17',19) which permit it to be adjusted continuously or in small steps. Vertical flanges (8,8') on either side of an end wall have a vertical line of fastening bores. <IMAGE>
