[origin: EP0692696A1] The firearm is equipped with a sliding hand-grip (5), and consists of a body with a barrel and an axially-moving cooking assembly (6) to which the hand-grip is attached. A guide system (11,12) tilts the rear end of the hand-grip downwards as it is pulled back, while its front end travels for a distance beneath the body. The moving assembly (6) comprises a slider (7) and a guide (9) which is fixed to the body and a control rod (8). The hand-grip fits around the slider, at least a part of the guide and a part of the control rod(s) when in its forward position. The guide system includes at least one groove (12) inside the hand-grip and a projection (11) on or in front of the body to interact with it, while the groove itself has an inclined portion (18) to tilt the hand-grip. <IMAGE>
