Abstract (en)
The telecommunications cable (10) has a central core (11), comprising an insulated conductor. This is surrounded by a protective screen (14) against electromagnetic interference, made up of a bed of an intrinsic conducting material (16), extruded over a metallic ribbon (15). The cable is finished by a peripheral insulating sheath (17). The screen bed and final sheath may be applied by simultaneous extrusion. The cable conductor (12) may be covered by a coaxial bed of insulation (13). The screening metal ribbon may be longitudinal, or helically wound, of copper, aluminium, silver or an alloy of these. The screen ribbon may be covered, forming a watertight tube around the core. The ribbon may be multi-bedded, with all metal beds, or one of metal and another of synthetic material. <IMAGE>

Le câble (10) comportant un noyau central (11) constitué d'au moins un conducteur isolé (12) entouré d'une couche épaisse (13) d'un matériau isolant, elle-même entourée d'un écran de protection (14) contre les interférences électromagnétiques et d'une gaine isolante (17) périphérique. Ledit écran (14) se compose d'un ruban métallique (15), disposé longitudinalement ou enroulé hélicoidalement, et d'au moins une couche (16) d'un matériau conducteur intrinsèque, appliquée par extrusion sur ledit ruban métallique. <IMAGE>
