[origin: EP0692847A1] An electrical connector has an outer housing (1) and an inner housing (2). The outer unit is formed with internal guidance surfaces and a profiled toothed rack section (22). This is engaged by a lever (15) that also has a toothed profile (19, 20). The inner housing can only be inserted provided that it is correctly orientated and the lever is correctly positioned.
