[origin: EP0693339A2] Rotary closure unit for a metallurgical vessel consists of an outlet element (1) in the bottom of the vessel and a pouring element (2) with their respective channels for melt. Opposing faces of the elements (1,2) are provided respectively with top and bottom closure plates (3,4). The top closure plate (3) has at least two openings located at the same distance from an axis of rotation as the channels (7,8) in the outlet element (1), while the bottom closure plate (4) has at least one opening for at least one channel (6). <IMAGE>
