[origin: EP0693439A1] The self-sealing outlet pipe (16) on the top of the aerosol can (11) is fitted with an L-shaped pipe (12) with the aerosol jet (14) at the free end. The pipe has a tab (19) bearing the aerosol jet to clip into a holding tag (28) on the inside of the cap (10) to provide a hinge action. The spray tab (17) in the top of the cap presses down on the pipe, bending its hinge and depressing the release pipe. The spray tab has an elastic return hinge (34) and presses onto the shape top (23) of the aerosol pipe via a curved thrust flange (24). The aerosol cap has a permanent fitting to the top of the can. <IMAGE>
