[origin: EP0693612A1] The drop blind has a concertina-shaped fabric secured to a fixed top rail (2) which has an open U-shaped downwards. The front flange (7) is extended further down into a cover flange (13) which reinforces the rail and covers the folded blind in the raised position. The extension flange is separated from the rail-shape by a trim groove (14) which adds to the torsion strength of the rail. The bottom of the blind is attached to a bottom rail (4) which has a profile to match that of the top rail and which forms a smooth fitting with the top rail when the blind is pulled up. The bottom flanges of the top rail, apart from the extension flange, have inwards facing lips (9,10) to secure the blind. <IMAGE>
