Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0693767A1] The device has a vacuum pump system (2), for evacuating the interior of the electron tube (1), which is coupled to the vacuum pump system via a connection element (4), before melting to form a vacuum-tight seal. The melting is effected by a melting system (5) with an electric heating coil (6), enclosed both radially and axially by a housing (13) which has a component (14) which can be removed from the side, together with the heating coil. The removable housing component is secured in place by a spring (15). <IMAGE>
