[origin: WO9423762A1] Current sterilization processes employing gas or vapour sterilizing media use sterilizing media whose composition is subject to fluctuations, which are attributable to the degree of filling of the sterilizer and/or atmospheric influences. In the process as per the invention the composition of the sterilizing medium is free of these influences because in a preceding step the carrier gas needed to constitute the sterilizing medium is conditioned for temperature and/or moisture and then in a succeeding step is brought into contact with an active agent to be loaded with it and thereupon is fed into a sterilization chamber. The sterilization process is particularly well suited for attaining constant and reproducible sterilization results, irrespective of atmospheric changes especially.
