Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0694652A1] A straight rigid bar (4) extends between a first construction component (1) and a rigid connector (5) secured to a second component (2). The connector includes an anchor block (7,8) with a central aperture through which the bar passes, the aperture being shaped with outwardly-tapering end portions (7a,8a) which receive tapering anchoring jaws (9,10). A pair of end stop plates (15,16) are secured to either end of the anchor block, such that the bar passes freely through their central apertures. The anchor block and stop plates form an axially mobile assembly relative to the jaws. The inner end of the anchor block assembly is secured to either the cylinder (20) or piston (19) portion of a shock absorbing assembly. <IMAGE>
