Abstract (en)
A munition storage unit (3) is formed by a pair of magazines (G1,G2) containing individual rounds. Each magazine includes a bidirectional conveyor (25) which supports and moves the rounds within the magazine. An intermediate transfer mechanism (9) is located between the two magazines, with a bidirectional actuator (37) cooperating with the conveyors of both magazines. The actuator receives rounds from either magazine and moves them towards a supply unit for the firearm chamber. Movement of the two conveyors and the actuator is controlled and synchronised by a system of drive gears. A guide shutter (70) is arranged between the magazines and below the actuator, and is movable to control the supply of rounds from one magazine or the other. <IMAGE>

Système d'alimentation en munitions pour une arme à feu de petit ou moyen calibre, du type comprenant un magasin double (G1, G2) de munitions différentes (M1, M2), un dispositif d'introduction propre à l'arme pour charger les munitions et un dispositif intermédiaire (9) pour transférer les munitions (M1, M2) du magasin (G1 ou G2) vers le dispositif d'introduction. Chaque magasin (G1, G2) comprend un convoyeur (25) à deux chaînes sans fin (27) qui est sélectivement accouplé à une roue étoilée (37) qui constitue le dispositif intermédiaire de transfert (9). Cette roue peut tourner suivant deux sens de rotation pour extraire les munitions (M1, M2) d'un magasin (G1, G2) ou pour ramener les munitions (M1, M2) vers le magasin d'origine. <IMAGE>
