Abstract (en)
The watch includes a device(14) for indicating terrestrial magnetic north. The device is arranged in the watch housing(32) in a peripheral region lateral to the watch movement(2). The device includes a permanent magnet(16) mounted on a shaft(18) and a direction indicator(24) fixed to the shaft(18). The watch is designed firstly to indicate magnetic north, secondly a direction which the user wants to follow and thirdly the direction of Mecca from any position on Earth where the user stands. <IMAGE>

Montre comportant un dispositif (14) d'indication du nord magnétique terrestre. Ce dispositif d'indication du nord magnétique terrestre est agencé dans le boîtier (32) de la montre dans une région périphérique latérale du mouvement horloger (2). En particulier, le dispositif d'indication du nord magnétique terrestre comprend un aimant permanent (16) monté sur un arbre (18) et un indicateur de direction (24) fixé à cet arbre. Selon trois modes de réalisation particuliers, la montre selon l'invention permet d'indiquer premièrement la direction du nord, deuxièmement une direction quelconque permettant à son utilisateur de suivre une direction déterminée et troisièmement la direction de la Mecque depuis au moins un endroit du globe terrestre où se trouve cet utilisateur. <IMAGE>
