[origin: EP0694893A1] The detection system includes an alarm central (1) and one or more pair (2) of conducting wires (3,4) which form a current loop. Detectors (D1-D6) are connected in parallel between the conducting wire. In a normal state, the detectors allow only a weak current to pass through, the current being delivered by a power supply (5). In an alarm state, i.e when one or more detectors is in alarm state, the central detects an increase in current via detection device (R0,6,7). Current flow detectors (L1, L2) are placed in line between each pair of detectors. The current flow detectors transmit a signal to the central when they detect an increase in current flow. The central receives the signals specific to each flow detector and locates the position of the detector in alarm state. <IMAGE>
