[origin: EP0694951A1] The module (14, 22) has a lamp, particularly a glow-discharge lamp (1) and current supply leads (6a, 6b, 26a, 30a, 30b). The lamp (1) and the current leads (6a, 6b, 26a, 30a, 30b) are embedded in a block (3, 28) of at least partly transparent insulating material. The current leads connect the lamp (1) with external contacts. These contacts enable connection with an external power supply. The external contacts are formed as clamp elements (11a, 11b-13a, 13b). The clap elements each have a connector part (11a, 11b) connected to a current lead, and a clamp part (12a, 13a, 13b). The block (3) may have cut-out sections (10a, 10b) in its surface, in each of which a clamp element is inserted. The connector part (11a, 11b) is at least partly embedded in the block (3) and the clamp part (12, 13a, 13b) extends into the cut-out (10a, 10b). The clamp part preferably has at least two sprung arms (12a, 13a) connected at one end to the connector part (11a). The arms (12a, 13a) are bent such that the clamp part has a narrow part between the arms. <IMAGE>
