Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9523711A1] An arrangement for producing an electrical connection between two parts which are rotatable relative to one another, e.g. between a motor vehicle steering wheel and steering column, has a stator part rigidly connected to the steering column and a rotor part rigidly connected to the steering wheel. The stator part and the rotor part together form a box-shaped housing which surrounds an annular space accommodating a multi-core conductor strip as an electrical connection element in a plurality of windings wrapped around themselves. In order to connect a current source to a consumer by means of conductor feeders, the conductor strip outwardly penetrates the walls of the rotor part and of the stator part and comprises socket contacts at the free ends at a distance from the conductor feeders. In order to produce a reliable and simple construction, the conductor strip (7) is provided in the region of the two conductor feeders (8, 9) with right-angled folds (12). The folds (12) and the adjoining sections (12', 12'') of the conductor strip (7) are jointly coated with a right-angled, rigid coating (13), and the sections (12', 12''), of the conductor strip (7), adjoining the folds (12) together with the coatings (13) are rigidly surrounded by tube sections (14). The conductor strip (7) is inserted in an interlocking manner with the folds (12), coatings (13) and the tube sections (14) as conductor feeders in accommodating spaces in rectangular housings (15) serving as adapters.
