Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0695526A1] The bed base (1) is made with three separate zones (7,9,10) between the head and foot ends of the bed - a central zone (7) with springs (8) to support a person's back and shoulders, and two end zones with slats (9,10) to support the head and feet. The springs (8) are linked by connectors (13) to form a unitary structure. The mattress is designed to be used on one side only. It has inner springs held inside a frame of a foam material, and padding made e.g. from coconut fibres and polyester foam.
