Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0695613A1] The mixer (1) has an annular trough (2) formed of base (4) outer side (3) and inner hub (6,7). Through this central hub a mixer driveshaft (8) passes which turns a housing (17) and radial arms. At the ends of the arms are mixing paddles mounted on shafts (26,27). The shafts mesh with toothed wheels (21,22,23) which are attached by bearings on the baseplate (16) of the housing. A central toothed wheel (20) on a shaft (18) aligned with the mixing driveshaft is supported by a sprung arm (29) against the rotation of the housing assembly. The toothed wheels mesh causing the paddles to turn while the radial arms rotate.
