Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0695636A2] To ink a waterless press printing plate (8) using an applicator (12) system for the ink (17), a barrier agent applicator (14) applies a barrier agent (18) directly or indirectly to the plate (8). The barrier agent (18) is pref. silicone oil. Also claimed is an assembly to ink the printing plate (8) in a rotary offset press, with a second array of rollers (16) with a barrier agent applicator (14) with at least one application roller (28) and a barrier agent supply (31), to lie against the printing plate and/or another roller of the inking appts. (12).
