Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0695652A1] The monitoring system includes a central unit, and a wheel unit (1) associated with each wheel (2) and including at least one measurement sensor. The module is connected to a rotating aerial (7) which is attached to the hub of the wheel. A fixed aerial (6) is mounted near to the hub support in order to cooperate with the rotating aerial. The fixed aerial is connected to the central unit, transmitting the results of measurements of the pressure of the tyre and/or the temperature of the brakes. An alarm signal is also transmitted if an abnormal condition is detected.
