[origin: EP0695694A2] The container, for the storage and transport of components etc. has a sidewall frame (2) with peripheral top and bottom edges (3,4). The bottom frame edge encloses a supporting surface (10), and is secured by fixing devices (25) in a peripheral groove (14) in the body (1) of the pallet. The groove can be enclosed on the outside by ribs extending for at least part of its length, and on the inside by a further rib protruding above the supporting surface. This rib can join onto the latter via a radiused flank. A flexible extension can be formed on the edge of the free rib.
