Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Wärmebehandlung, insbesondere Aufkohlung, metallischer Werkstücke in einem Ofen in einer Behandlungsatmosphäre unter hohen Temperaturen, bei dem die Atmosphäre durch Umsetzung von zumindest einer, Kohlenstoff und Wasserstoff enthaltenden Verbindung sowie eines weiteren, Sauerstoff enthaltenden Mediums (insbesondere reinem Sauerstoffgas) erzeugt wird, wobei die Umsetzung gegebenenfalls unterstützt durch eine Generator- oder Katalysatoreinrichtung beim oder im Ofen durchgeführt wird und wobei gegebenenfalls der Atmosphäre zusätzlich ein Anreicherungsmittel zugeführt wird und ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als C- und H-haltige Verbindungen gasförmige Alkene eingesetzt werden.
