[origin: EP0695839A1] The cover plates comprises an air penetration region (4) which is provided between the upper side (5a) of the water fold (5) and the underside (6a) of the cover fold (6) of two neighbouring cover plates (1,2). Projections (7) are arranged on the underside of the cover which come into contact with the support surface (5b,d) of the water fold side to allow air penetration between two plates. The contact surface for the projections is formed by a flat region of the water fold side.
