Abstract (en)
The load-carrying capacity of the axial magnetic bearing (12) is increased during flooding by narrowing of the gap between the axial bearing plate (20) and the axial magnet, so as to take up additional stresses introduced by the flooding process. A set-point device (23) is provided which operates in a control loop with a sensor processor (15), a controller (17) and a power amplifier (19). A limiting-value monitor (21) closes the flood valve (6) when a predetermined electromagnet current value corresp. to a particular stress on the rotor (3) is exceeded.

Die Erfindung beschreibt eine Fluteinrichtung für eine magnetisch gelagerte Vakuumpumpe mit schnell laufendem Rotor. Die Tragfähigkeit des axialen Magnetlagers wird während des Flutvorganges durch Verringerung des Spaltes zwischen einer Axiallagerscheibe (20) und dem Axialmagneten (12) erhöht, um die zusätzlichen Kräfte, die durch den Flutvorgang hervorgerufen werden, aufzunehmen. Im Normalbetrieb wird der Spalt auf einen oberen Grenzwert eingeregelt. <IMAGE>
