The switch has a pair of switch elements (1,2) displaced relative to one another within a switch chamber filled with an insulation gas, each having a network current contact (6,7) and an auxiliary contact (8,9). One of the switch elements (1) is acted on directly by the operating drive and has an attached jet (10) with a restriction (11) through which the compressed insulation gas is forced from a pressure space (12) and/or a compression space (19) to a buffer space (14). The end of the jet facing the other switch element supports a coaxial screening (21) enclosing the jet and forming part of the drive force coupling between the switch elements.

Der Druckgasschalter enthält zwei bewegliche Schaltstücke (1, 2), welche in einer isoliergasgefüllten Kammer längs einer Achse (3) gegenläufig zueinander geführt sind. Diese Schaltstücke weisen jeweils einen Abbrand- (8, 9) und einen Nennstromkontakt (6, 7) auf. An einem von einem Antrieb direkt bewegten Schaltstück (1) ist eine Isolierdüse (10) befestigt, durch deren Engstelle (11) beim Ausschalten Druckgas von einem schalthubunabhängigen Druckraum (12) und/oder einem schaltstückbetätigten Kompressionsraum (19) in einen Auspuffraum (14) geführt wird. Vom direkt angetriebenen Schaltstück (1) wird über ein Isolierteil und einen Geschwindigkeitswandler Antriebskraft an ein kraftaufnehmendes Schaltstück (2) geführt. Ein solcher Schalter benötigt eine geringe Antriebsenergie und weist eine kompakte kostengünstige Bauweise auf. Er bildet beim Ausschalten bei geeigneter Ansteuerung funktionell wesentlicher Teile des kraftaufnehmenden Schaltstücks (2), wie Abbrandkontakt (9), Nennstromkontakt (7) und Abschirmungen, unter optimalem Einsatz einer vergleichsweise geringen Antriebskraft in kurzer Zeit eine dielektrisch hoch belastbare Isolierstrecke. <IMAGE>
