Abstract (en)
The gas discharge lamp has a socket (8) provided by a socket sleeve (8a) and a relatively adjustable holder (8b) within the socket sleeve, supporting a sealed discharge envelope (1) with a discharge space (1a) between opposing end zones (1b,1c). At least the discharge space is enclosed by an outer envelope (11), which is fused to the outside of the discharge envelope so that the two form a single unit, which is secured to the socket by fusing the outer envelope to the holder. Pref. the part of the holder receiving the outer envelope is made of an easily melted plastics which is melted by an incorporated inductive heating device (12).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine einseitig gesockelte Hochdruckentladungslampe für Kfz-Scheinwerfer. Die erfindungsgemäße Lampe besitzt einen an das soffittenartige Entladungsgefäß (1) angeschmolzenen Außenkolben (11). Zur Sockelung der Lampe ist die aus Außenkolben (11) und Entladungsgefäß (1) bestehende Baueinheit (1, 11) durch Einschmelzen des Außenkolbens (11) in einem justierbar innerhalb der Sockelhülse (8a) befestigten Halterteil (8b) fixiert. Dadurch wird die Bruchsicherheit der Lampe erhöht und die Sockelung vereinfacht. <IMAGE>
