Abstract (en)
In vapour-generating apparatus having a boiler (10) into which fluid is introduced for evaporation, in which the fluid is evaporated by a heat source (13) and from which the vapour generated is drawn for use, the boiler (10) is constituted by a vessel (11) closed by a lid (12), the vessel (11) and the lid (12) being securely fixed together by a resilient closure (16-18) which exerts a predetermined resilient closure pressure on the lid (12) so that, in the event of excessive steam pressure, the lid (12) is raised from the vessel (11) so as to discharge steam. <MATH>
