Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0697285A2] The temperature of the printing chamber (14) is kept down by a coolant. A pump (48) circulates the coolant, which is sent from a cooler (20) into the printing chamber. The heat is transferred by a heat exchanger (12,44), which controls the temperature of the printing medium (8,47,87). This forms a coolant circuit (22), with heated coolant returning to the cooler, and then back again to the chamber. The printing medium may be a liquid or air (8).
