Photographic base of plastics-coated paper or plastics film has a back coating contg. (a) an acrylate copolymer (I) contg. COOH gps., more than 80 wt.% of which consists of acrylate ester, 1-6 C alkyl-acrylate ester and/or styrene; (b) an organic polyacid (II) contg. COOH or SO3H gps. in free acid or salt form; (c) a thickener (III) with good salt compatibility; and (d) coarse SiO2 grains (IV) with a particle size of 3-6 microns, a pore vol. less than 1 ml/g and a surface area of over 400 m<2>/g. Also claimed is a coating compsn. for preparing this coating.
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung betrifft ein fotografisches Trägermaterial mit einer Rückseitenschicht, sowie eine Beschichtungsmasse zur Herstellung dieser Rückseitenschicht. Die Schicht zeichnet sich aus durch eine hervorragende Beschreibbarkeit mit Bleistiften und ist frei von Verschmutzungen durch gealterte Entwicklungsbäder. Sie setzt sich zusammen aus carboxyliertem Acrylat-Copolymer, organischer Polysäure, grobkörniger Kieselsäure, Verdickungsmittel und, vorzugsweise, kolloidaler aluminiummodifizierter Kieselsäure.
