[origin: WO9427326A1] The invention concerns an electronic device, in particular a solar cell with a film (16) of amorphous silicon (a-Si) and at least two film electrodes (14, 18), one surface (20, 22) of each electrode being contiguous with the amorphous-silicon film (16). At least one (14) of the electrodes has microfeatures (14a) which form a preferably periodically repeating structure. The mean distance between the microfeatures is preferably of the same order of magnitude as the length of the charge-carrier path and is in general less than 1 mu m, in particular 50 to 500 nm. The microfeature structure is preferably produced by the action of a laser-beam interference pattern.
