Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0698414A1] The shredder has a rotating cutter (31) inside a housing which feeds the material to the cutter and expels it via an outlet duct. The shredder housing is split about an inclined plane to remove the cover (3) and inlet duct, for releasing jams. The cover locates on the housing via interlocking grips (9) and with a locking lever (16) on the housing to clamp the cover in place. The locking lever also releases the cover for removal and has a profiled shaft which grip a slot in a securing tag (14) at the top end of the cover. No additional tools are required to remove or refit the cover.
