Abstract (en)
The method involves using addressable warning stations (1,3,5) which receive associated status information (21,23,25) indicating train occupancy. At least one warning station periodically and serially transfers and/or receives its associated data to and/or from at least one neighbouring station via at least one intervening region over an information channel (11) divided by interface devices (11a-11c). At least one station derives train occupancy, possibly also train direction and/or distance for the trains between the stations from the received status information and its own status information. Train occupancy information is converted into warning information periodically passed to addressable warning stations along the track region (16,17) between stations or even adjacent sections (15,18) via a warning channel (13) divided by interface devices (13a-13c).

Verfahren und Einrichtung zur Warnung von Personen im Gleisbereich vor herannahen Zügen durch Warnstationen, die Warninformationen von Meldestationen über einen Nachrichtenkanal erhalten, wobei die Meldestationen aus ihnen zugeleiteten und gegenseitig übertragenen Züge signalisierenden Statusinformationen die Warninformationen ableiten. <IMAGE>
