[origin: EP0698771A1] The aluminium evaporating plates include groove-shaped depressions (12) of a shape and size corresponding to the cross-section of the aluminum pipe coils which contain the refrigerator cooling medium (13). Approximately half the depth of the coil is contained within the depression. Tongue-shaped risen sections with flattened tops (16,17) are formed from the plate in between the depressions in order to hold the straight sections of the coil in place. The rounded ends of the coil are held by the edges of the evaporating plate, which are folded over into a U-shaped.
