[origin: EP0699399A1] The ski boot consists of a lower section (1) in the form of a shell which covers the foot and heel, and a leg section (2) which is articulated to the shell. The two sections are equipped with fastenings (4,5,6). The leg section of the boot has a strap (10) which goes around the top of the shell in the zone of the pivot (3), and has a buckle (11) to close and lock it, with the locking direction (F) passing above the pivot. The strap is a separate component of the boot, held in place by the pivots, and is made from two materials with different degrees of rigidity.
