Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0699422A1] The collector consists of a body or artificial vagina (1) made from a supple foam material, made with an inner conical duct (3) and connected to a container. The body has a flared inlet end to guide the animal's penis as it is introduced, and it is made from a non-toxic foam material. The container can be in the form of a tube (6) connected to a skirt (5) on the end of the body. In a variant of the design the body is connected to the container by a tube with an aperture for removing the 'gel' which forms part of the ejaculate. The collector can be fitted into a dummy on a flexible support and connected via a filter to a vacuum flask.
