Abstract (en)
The device for printing a material strip, esp. a paper web, involves a printing mechanism, a drier section and a cooling section. In the running direction (5) of the material strip (2) connecting to the cool section (6) a moisturising section (9) with a connected after-cooling section (10) is provided. The moisturising section has at least one steam spray tube (19,20) direction onto the material strip. The tube is directed onto the underside of the strip. Beneath the steam spray tube is a catchment bath (23,24) which has high-drawn side walls (25,26) which together with the material strip and possibly at least one guide roller (12,13,15,16) enclose a damping chamber (27,28).

Es wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Bedrucken einer Materialbahn angegeben, bei denen in einem Druckwerk (3) Farbe auf die Materialbahn (2) aufgetragen wird, die Materialbahn danach unter Anwendung von Wärme in einem Trocknerabschnitt (4) getrocknet und daran anschließend in einem Kühlabschnitt (6) gekühlt wird. Durch diese Behandlung ergeben sich teilweise ungünstige Handhabungseigenschaften, wie Falzbruchgefahr oder eine erhöhte Welligkeit der Materialbahn. Um die Handhabbarkeit zu verbessern, wird die Materialbahn nach dem Kühlen unter gleichzeitiger Anwendung von Wärme in einem Befeuchtungsabschnitt (9) befeuchtet und anschließend ein weiteres Mal in einem Nachkühlabschnitt (10) gekühlt. <IMAGE>
