[origin: EP0699786A2] Shed formation appts. to activate dobby head rods has a blade pair (11A, 11B), laid side by side and able to be moved towards each other, and, connected to the rods, several swivelling levers (14, 15) where each nearest lever end has a fIrst device (13) to connect to a selected blade. The appts. also includes a first set of motion outline devices (16), the motion running in the direction of blade movement, which devices have at least one closed encircling line to create motion in the device axial direction and where each blade engages with at least one motion outline (24). Here each of the swivelling levers has a second connection device to connect with a selected blade of a pair (11C, 11D) arranged just like the first and a second set of motion outline devices with which the blades similarly engage. Also claimed is an appts. similar to the first, but where there is no second set of outline devices and the second pair of blades engages with at least one motion outline of the first motion outline device.
