[origin: EP0699865A1] The light has a reflector insert (14) with a dull upper surface (L) for scattering light. At least the upper surface part is illuminated directly from a lighting device (17), and reflections are repeated by the inner surface (13) of a reflector (12), at all observation angles inside its shielding angle (beta). The reflector insert may form one or more panel elements (15), arranged about a plane extended through the reflector axis (y). The elements may be arranged around the axis with equal central angles, and there may also be a central element, whose axis of rotational or central symmetry coincides with the reflector axis.
