[origin: DE4431266C1] The device is for the location of grates, esp. grate bars for fixed grate bar rows of an advance grate. The grate on a grate axis is connected to the sidewall with a displaceable side shield. The side shield comprises a wear plate (2) and a transition angle (9), which is sealed against the sidewall (11). To the wear plate a bearer (3) is fixed, on which the grate locates. The bearer is displaceably located on the grate bar axis. The bearer is formed as a profile at least partly encompassing the cross-section of the grate bar axis (4). The bearer as a half shell is arranged on a cylindrical grate bar bearer displaceably.
