Abstract (en)
The chair, made with a seat which tilts to the front and back on a vertical supporting column, has an assembly which connects the seat and back and allows them to be adjusted independently according to the size of the user. The back adjuster has parallel sliders on the back section of the tilting assembly, and corresponding components on the rear surface of the chair back and guide plates on the underside of the seat to interact with a transverse reinforcing plate The tilting assembly comprises a single moulded plastics shell with its back and seat portions set at right angles to one another, with each portion having turned-in edges to provide sliding surfaces for the seat and back. The assembly is produced by an extrusion/blow moulding process.
