Latex microspheres comprise a polymer derived from an ethylenically unsatd. monomer, having functional gps. on the surface grafted to a biotinyl residue through a divalent chain. Also claimed are complexes of the microspheres with avidin or streptavidin.

L'invention concerne une microsphère de latex constituée de polymères obtenus par polymérisation de monomères insaturés éthyléniquement, présentant des groupements fonctionnels en surface, remarquable en ce que sur au moins une partie desdits groupements sont greffés, par l'intermédiaire d'une chaîne divalente, des radicaux biotinyle. Elle concerne également le complexe avidine- ou streptavidine-biotine obtenu à l'aide de ladite microsphère et l'utilisation de la microsphère ou du complexe en tant qu'agent de diagnostic de dosage biologique ou de dosage immunologique.
