Abstract (en)
The motor vehicle fuel pump is formed as a pump unit (4) of a multiple pump (2). A further pump unit (6) is provided for transmission of greater power. The first pump unit is of the double stroke type and the drive for it and at least of a further pump unit is a coupling-less common shaft (8). A rotor (42) of the pump unit of the multiple pump is drivably held by a free shaft pin (40). The fuel pump unit is of the vane cell or roller cell type. It can also be formed as a link auxiliary pump and its shaft bearing (16) is lubricated by the delivery medium of the further pump unit.

Um eine Kraftstoffpumpe für ein Kraftfahrzeug dahingehend zu verbessern, daß sie innerhalb des Motorraums, insbesondere bei Wartung und Reparatur, besser zugänglich ist sowie wirtschaftlicher herstellbar ist als bekannte Kraftstoffpumpen, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, die Kraftstoffpumpe in Form einer Pumpeneinheit (4) einer Mehrfachpumpe (2) auszubilden. <IMAGE>
